#Shift is an annual event where people from all walks of life gather in a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy soft music, rib-cracking comedy and thrilling stage drama. The annual event was borne out of the desire to have people enjoy a unique ‘TGIF’ experience. Friday is that day of the week that everyone regardless of vocation, earnestly look forward to because it is that day of the week that midwives the working week and the weekend. Hence, the loud acclaim of Thank God It’s Friday (TGIF) as early as the Friday morning.
How else can people sooth nerves that have been frayed during the week, thanks to work pressure, other than relaxing in an atmosphere of soft music that soothes the mind, comedy that lightens the face and suspense-filled drama that keeps them at the edge of their seats?
Since it debuted in 2015, #Shift has had under its belt, two (2) successful editions. The first season tagged #Asake. The drama had a traditional setting and the tilt was centred around an irrational tale of love where a poor girl desired the love of the prince of the land.
The second season of #Shift which was held in 2016, was tagged Foul. The drama had a unique setting of the old Roman empire. The language and the stage created the nostalgic feeling of the Roman life. The tilt of the story bothered on rebellion and power tussle. It is a common knowledge that when two elephants fight, the grasses suffer.
Now, the stage is set for the third edition of Shift which has been tagged #Events. It promises to be yet another evening of very melodious jazz that will have you dancing merrily away, rib cracking comedy that you won’t even be able to resist the urge to laugh out loud and of course, riveting drama that will keep you at the edge of your seat from start to finish.
Come for a unique TGIF experience as DCommissioned, producers of Asake and Foul, present Shift 3! An evening of classic jazz, rib-cracking comedy and riveting drama. Shift 3.0 dubbed “Events”
