SuperData Research: $41 billion on Mobile Gaming in 2016

I looked at the figure with this expression:

So, people actually spend that much money on games?!

I don’t know about you guys, but $41 billion on mobile gaming alone seems like a LOT! But that is what the guys at SuperData Research claim. According to them, mobile games made a cool $41 billion in revenue. PC games weren’t that far behind — raking in a sweet $34 billion in revenue. Retail gaming came at $26 billion, while downloadable console games added $6.6 billion to the overall total.

Some of the games that made it big in 2017 include Pokemon Go, Clash Royal, Overwatch, League of Legends, Dungeon Fighter Challenge, Crossfire and World of Tanks and DOTA 2.

The question on my mind, what percentage did Nigerians contribute to this number?
